Apex Legends Players Will Get To See Major Changes To Armor Soon

Apex Legends is the kind of game in which players have to make the best use of their equipment to survive till the end. They can even use different abilities to either put their enemies in a difficult situation or escape a crucial situation. However, there are some things you have to keep in mind before you can engage an opponent.

Armor In Apex Legends

In Apex Legends, if you’re not wearing any kind of armor, you can get taken down instantly. It will only take a few shots to send you back to the lobby. Thankfully, there are different tiers of armor, or body shields, available in the game that can be found as loot. At the moment, the game has four tiers of body shields, Common, Rare, Epic, and Legendary. Each one offers a different level of protection, with the Legendary one carrying a special perk with it.

Apex Legends

Apex Legends players are aware of the fact that no one knows what level of armor an enemy player is wearing. The only way to know is to engage with the enemies as whenever you land a shot on them, the hitmarker glows in the color of the armor they are wearing. For instance, if the hitmarker is purple, then the enemy is wearing an Epic shield. This is something that sometimes puts in you in a bad position as you cannot know what you’re going to deal with prior to engagement. However, it seems like all of this is soon going to change.

Visual Indication Might Get Added Soon

A few days ago, That1MiningGuy decided to do some digging in the game’s files through which he discovered something interesting related to the armor. For those who don’t know, That1MiningGuy is one of the best Apex data miners out there. Most of the time, his leaks turn out to be true. On December 16, the miner posted a screenshot on Twitter through which he revealed some major changes coming to the armor.

The screenshot is of some back-end game files that suggest that visual indication will be soon added to the game. This visual indicator will basically show the color of the armor your opponent is wearing. In other words, it will allow you to see what tier armor your enemy has. The data miner claimed that the files are indicating visual indicators to characters to tell us about what armor they are wearing before we shoot them.

If this turns out to be true, then Apex is going to change for sure. Many players have gotten killed because they engaged with an enemy who had a higher level armor. However, if visual indicators are added, then players will get the luxury to decide whether they should engage with a certain enemy or not. If you’re wearing a Common armor, then this feature will prevent you from engaging with an enemy wearing a Legendary armor. Season 4 is also right around the corner, and it might introduce this feature.
