Dota 2 latest roster shuffles and transfer market

Here are some of the latest Dota 2 roster shuffle. Teams are reluctant to make changes to their roster since the 2019-2020 DPC season will kick off in a matter of weeks. Let’s see what is going on the social media and have a look at some rumors and confirmed moves in the game.

Return of a TI champion

The International 2012 champion Wong “ChuaN” Hawk Chuan has announced that he is ready to return to the professional scene of Dota 2. He started his professional career in DotA in 2009. In 2011 he started competing in Dota2 and played for some of the best teams in the world like LGD Gaming, Newbee and Vici Gaming.

Chuan’s greatest success was with the iG roster, with which he won TI2, and took 7-8th place at The International 2014. In September 2016, he left Newbee and did not play until January next year. In September 2017 represented VG team, and abandoned the competitive landscape for a couple of years. Let’s see how one of the most successful players of Dota2 will make a comeback.

Kuku not going anywhere!

Filipino player Carlo “Kuku” Palad will continue to play for TNC Predator in the 2019/2020 Dota Pro Circuit season. He posted a vacation photo on Facebook, and in its caption, he clarified that his recent tweet about finding a new team was a joke. Kuku has been representing TNC since 2016. Together with the team, he played in three Internationals. He also competed in several Majors: Frankfurt, Kiev, Bucharest, Kuala Lumpur, and Moscow. During his career as a player, he won around $600,000.

Sumail & Yawar Unite

Brothers Syed Samail “SumaiL” Hassan and Yawar “YawaR” Hassan could play in one team during the 2019/2020 season. This was announced on Reddit by an insider madibariddim, the players did not comment on the rumors. SumaiL and YawaR kicked off their eSports careers in 2015 after the family moved from Pakistan to the United States. Since then Yawar has competed in more than ten teams, meanwhile Sumail has only played for Evil Geniuses.

Both players participated in The International 2019: YawaR with Newbee.TI9 took 9-12th place, and SumaiL in the EG roster shared the 5-6th line with Vici Gaming.

Sccc returns from retirement

One of the biggest news in the Dota 2 roster shuffle is the Mid laner Song “Sccc” Chun. Sccc signed for Team Aster. The club reported this on Weibo. It is not yet known who will be kicked off from the team to make room for the Chinese star. A couple of months ago, Scc said he has officially retired from professional Dota but now it seems like he is ready to get back.

Sccc started his eSports career in 2015 at Newbee Young. Owing to his exceptional abilities in the game, he was transferred to the main team in September 2016. Together with him, Newbee secured a second place at The International 2017. Among other accomplishments, Sccc and co. won ESL One Genting 2018 and The Perfect World Masters.
