Overwatch League Season 2020 is just around the corner, and fans all over the world are eagerly waiting for it. However, while we wait for the next season to begin, it will be a shame if we don’t talk about some players who performed exceptionally well during this year. So without any further adieu, here are some of the best Overwatch League players of 2019.
Lee “Twilight” Joo-seok
The first player we would like to mention is Lee “Twilight” Joo-seok from Vancouver Titans. The team had a really amazing year as they managed to win the stage championship. In addition to this, they managed to defeat some of the best teams in the world, and thus became the most successful expansion team in this season. Although they didn’t manage to win the grand finals of the Overwatch League, their performance was still breathtaking. However, all of this wouldn’t have been possible without some specific players in the roster, and one of them is Twilight.
Twilight definitely won the hearts of everyone watching through his performance. Not only this, but his play was so impressive that he was nominated for the title of Overwatch League MVP. During all matches, he made the best use of his skills and abilities to make sure that his team stayed on the top.
Jay “Sinatraa” Won
The San Fransisco Shock left their fans disappointed in the first season of the league where they performed poorly. But this year, they made a big come back and won the Overwatch League 2019 grand finals. However, one of the biggest reasons behind their success was Jay “Sinatraa” Won.
Sinatraa performed really well this year and because of this, he won the title of Overwatch League MVP of 2019. When he received the MVP award, the player gave a speech in which he talked about how his team has helped him become more mature and how his personality has changed over the season. Sinatraa’s amazing gameplay was recognized in all parts of the world, and he along with his teammate “Super” became the first Overwatch League players to get invited to The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
Yang “DDing” Jin-hyeok
Yang “DDing” Jin-hyeok left everyone surprised with his performance this year. He plays for Shanghai Dragons and he helped his team with getting back on their feet. The Dragons had a really rough past year after they finished with a 0-40 record in season one. Because of this reason, they decided to completely change their Overwatch League roster.
While making changes to the roster, the Dragons decided to pick DDing from KongDoo Panthera. Although the team started picking up the pace after a few stages, they sure made all of their fans happy after winning stage three of the Overwatch League championship. The most surprising thing was the team won it by defeating San Francisco Shock. Many claim that this happened because of DDing’s exceptional play with Sombra and Pharah.
In any case, all players were really amazing and they gave their best. Now, fans are eagerly waiting to see how these players are going to perform in the upcoming season.
