Here’s How Different Esports Titles Celebrated Valentine’s Day

Love was in the air throughout this Valentine’s day. But how did popular eSports developers celebrate their Valentine’s day? Let’s take a look.

League of Legends

Riot Games was one of the earliest to announce their Valentine’s Day event. League of Legends prepared two new romantic skins for the day, Heartpiercer Fiora and Heartbreaker Vi, that we can already obtain in the store both individually and as part of special sets.

The new virtual phenomenon is this Battle Royale that has “fallen in love” with 25 million players in a week. Something special has to have Valentine for the fashion game to choose this date for its first event.

For now, all we know is the ‘Live Die Live’ badge that will be won by reviving a teammate. In the store, we will also find the skin for Pathfinder (‘Through the Heart’) and the message of ‘Love of the Game’. These and other aspects related to Valentine’s Day will only appear in the store from February 13th to 19th.

Overwatch

Although it is not included in an event itself, it seems that the new Paris map of Overwatch will leave the beta stage and enter the official pool of maps, coinciding with Valentine’s Day. What is more romantic than a walk through the streets of Paris with the Eiffel Tower in the background?

Blizzard knows well how this incomparable setting makes us boil with the blood of passion. The developer presented a series of posters on the map inspired by Paris of the ’20s. In our opinion, they are wonderful and it shows that cooperation problems are not interfering with the game. Visiting the most romantic map of Overwatch is a great excuse to play this shooter as a couple.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4

The soldiers also fall in love! This is what Treyarch, who has announced that CoD has a Valentine’s Day event, must have thought, though it is somewhat more decaffeinated than the rest of the titles. From February 14th to 19th, a double experience event is planned in the three modes of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.

In multiplayer and Blackout mode, the players are getting 2x the experience. The new modes are working quite well for the new players of the game, while in Zombie mode the benefits are even greater: the players are not only winning a 2XP for the prestige levels and weapons, but they have also received twice the plasma.

Brawl Stars

The new Supercell game has almost been joined by two events. A few weeks ago they were throwing the rest with the Lunar New Year, and now they’ve focused on Valentine’s Day with a skin that will be released in the coming days. The selected Brawler could not be anyone other than the Mariachi Poco. This funny Mexican Skull will come to haunt us in a white suit, a traditional Mexican hat with hearts, and a rose in his mouth. We are sure that everyone will fall at their feet.

Whether playing as a couple or as a solo queue, these events usually offer novelties in our favorite titles, so we are delighted to see the arena full of hearts.
