Esports is all about becoming some of the best teams and players in the world. Each year, hundreds of new teams enter the esports scene with the sole purpose of becoming the best out there. Organizers all over the world host different tournaments throughout the tournaments, and all of them have some sort of prize pool. Some feature thousands of dollars, while others have a prize pool in the millions. And today, we are going to talk about one team that managed to become the highest earning team in 2019.

OG’s Dota 2 Players Are The Highest Earning Players

OG’s Dota 2 team managed to become the highest earning team of 2019. The team was regarded as the best Dota 2 team of the said year because of their amazing performance. After winning The International 2018, OG surprised everyone by once again winning TI9. Thus, they became the first team to win two International back to back. And as TI9 had the biggest prize pool in the history of esports, OG walked home with a total of $15.6 million.

TI9 wasn’t the only event OG won in 2019. In fact, they managed to win most of the events they participated in, and they walked home with a lot of money through them. If we combine their earnings from TI9 and every other tournament hey won in 2019, then all five players of OG’s Dota 2 roster are the highest earning players of the said year. Although some of the players missed a few tournaments, the difference between their earnings is not that big.

Total Earnings

Jesse “JerAx” Vainikka earned a total of $3,163,536 in 2019, and his total career earnings are now $6,470,000. As for Sébastien “Ceb” Debs and Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen, both earned the same amount, $3,163,536. However, the total career earnings of Ceb are $5,489,233, while Topson has earned $5,414,446 throughout his career. Johan “N0tail” Sundstein earned $3,155,536 in 2019 while Anathan “ana” Pham earned a total of $3,146,536.

One thing to keep in mind here is that JerAx, Ceb, and Topson are the only three players of the roster that participated in every tournament this season. N0tail faced some health issues which made him unable to compete at the EPICENTER Major. He was replaced by Titouan “Sockshka” Merloz for the said event. OG managed to achieve the eight place in the tournament and earned around $40,000 from it.

After winning The International 2019, OG took part in only one tournament. They only earned around $5,000 from it, but it didn’t bother them considering they walked home with millions before it. By winning TI9, OG also managed to take the number one spot last year. At the moment, fans are eagerly waiting to see how their favorite team will perform next year.
