Mars Media has revealed the groups for the biggest tournament of Dota 2, MDL Disneyland Paris Major. The tournament will take place from May 4 to 12. Only four teams have secured their spots for the International 9. So, one of the last competitions of the 2018-19 Dota Pro Circuit will surely determine some of the remaining slots.
Virtus.Pro, Vici Gaming, Team Secret and Evil Geniuses will be making their way to Shanghai. Yet we will see other 12 teams who are strong contenders to join the top four in the world championships.
16 teams will compete for supremacy at the MDL Major Paris. In the first stage of the competition, the sides will be distributed into four groups. The Groups were announced a few hours ago and it is fair to say that teams will surely have to fight for the right to qualify for the next stage. In Group A we have the strongest team of the DPC, Virtus.Pro with, Keen Gaming, BeastCoast, and Team Liquid.

We believe that VP will dominate the group and qualify for the upper bracket of the playoffs. They might face a tough test against Keen and Liquid but surely VP will shine in the competition. You might be surprised to hear the name BeastCoast, but don’t panic since it is the old roster of Team Team. The BestCoast lineup was formed on the eve of the qualifiers and have surprisingly made it to the competition. We don’t underestimate this team since it holds some of the most successful players in the early editions of Dota 2.
In Group B, it will be foolish to bet against Secret. Since we are convinced that the team will shine like they always do. In the group, Secret is against Ninjas in Pyjamas who just won the OGA Dota PIT Minor. NiP performed exceptionally in the competition so Team Secret might have to adjust their playstyle a bit.
Following @NiPGaming's success at the OGA Dota Pit Minor, we have now confirmed all the 16 competing teams at the MDL Disneyland® Paris Major.

Meanwhile, we might see some shocking results for the Chaos Esports Club. Since they have the ability to beat the best on their day. In our opinion, they have the potential to secure a ticket to TI9, but time will tell how the competition shapes up. The last team is the Team Empire which will compete in its first DPC competition.
In our opinion, Group C will be one of the most contested groups in the competition. Since all the teams are incredibly talented. LGD Gaming and Vici have been performing quite well. The latter has even secured a ticket to TI9 after a remarkable run in DreamLeague Season 11. Meanwhile, Mineski and paiN Gaming teams include some of the most talented players. So, anything can happen.
The most exciting group of the competition in our opinion is the Group D. Since it includes some of the most talented lineups of Dota2. It features compLexity Gaming, OG, Fnatic, and EG.
The weakest team of the group in CompLexity but still they are anxious to see them play in Paris. Meanwhile, Fnatic and EG have had their fair share of troubles in recent competitions. So, the last team, of the group, OG, the reigning world champions will be aiming to qualify for Upper Bracket.
