Last evening, we had the pleasure of watching the first stage of the ESL Mumbai 2019 Playoffs. The matches took place in front of an incredible audience at the NSCI Dome stadium. We also had to see three games eliminated from the competitions. It was an incredible night. Let’s walk you through the action.
The playoffs kicked off with the meeting between the home team Signify and TNC Predator. The local side had outstanding support from the home audience. In the two games played Signify even managed to steal the Aegis, yet, it was not enough to get them the victory.
TNC was flawless in its strategy. They picked the devastating trio of Jakiro, Rubick, and Doom in both of the game. They won their first game 32 minutes, while in the second game, Signify fought hard but lost at 41-minute mark. Now, they had to face TEAM TEAM in the next phase of the competition. But, before discussing that match up we will give you the details of another game, between Pango and Complexity.

Complexity despite the criticism, had a good start to the lower bracket series as they won the first game. However, the side was unable to carry the momentum in the second and third game. In both of these matches, they were out drafted by the Pango. The CIS team picked Doom in both of the game they won. Meanwhile, the MVP in our opinion was Iceberg, as he was unstoppable on Lina and Storm Spirit.
TNC Winning Big
The evening ended with the meeting between TNC and TEAM TEAM, Kuku vs Eternalenvy. The SEA side came out all guns blazing as they made some exciting picks in the first game. They got their hands on Nature’ Prophet, Outworld Devourer, and Drow Ranger. The trio was absolutely brutal and TNC won the first game with ease.
The best game of the day was the second game, where Tims simply stole the show. On his Rubick, he managed to stole Tidehunter and Enigma’s ultimate.
Our run at #ESLOne Mumbai ends with a 2-0 loss to Keen Gaming. Congratulations to them and good luck to the remaining teams.

Who Will Win In India?
Unfortunately, at the end of the day, two North American teams, Complexity and TEAM TEAM were eliminated. The NA teams really need to improve on their strategy to qualify for the upcoming DPC competitions. Team Signify who was also eliminated, should be satisfied by competing against top tier teams of the Dota 2 world.
In the Upper Bracket, Na’Vi take on Mineski after beating Keen. While TNC awaits for the winner of the confrontation between Keen and The Pango. We believe that the Chinese side may very well win the competition. The team has been absolutely brilliant in its strategy and they might not have the best start to the competition with a poor performance in the group phase. Yet it seems like they just love to play in the lower bracket. We foresee a Mineski vs Keen final. Let’s see in the coming days who will prevail in Mumbai.
