Overwatch Patch 1.43 Is Now Live

Overwatch fans will be glad to know that Blizzard Entertainment has finally released the much-awaited patch 1.43 for the game. That’s right, after weeks of waiting, the update is finally live. For those who don’t know, this patch was released on the Public Test Realm a month ago, and fans have been since then eagerly waiting for it to arrive on the live servers. However, for some reason, the patch was delayed. But now, it has been finally released for the actual game.

The new patch is kind of an amazing one since it has introduced various changes and improvements to the game. To begin with, after downloading the patch, players will be able to enjoy the new “While You Wait” system. For those who don’t know, Blizzard talked about this system a while ago in which they told what it’s going to be. This new system will basically allow players to do some extra things while they wait in a long queue.

New System Introduced

Starting today, you will be able to enter a variety of different modes during queue times. There is a practice range where groups that are in the same queue can have some fun. In addition to this, Skirmish, as well as, Deathmatch modes are also available for waiting players. Such players can also join custom games. However, the custom game’s creator has to first allow waiting players to hop in.

Character Changes

The new patch has also made various changes to different characters. Orisa’s base armor has been increased from 200 to 250, her protective barrier health is now 600 instead of 900, and her fortify’s cooldown now takes 8 seconds instead of 10. On the other hand, Sigma has also received some changes through the latest patch. His Experimental Barrier health has been reduced to 900 from 1500, and his Barrier health regeneration rate has also been reduced to 120 health per second. Players will be also able to use his Kinetic Grasp more now as its cooldown has been reduced to 10 seconds from 13 seconds.


Reinhardt’s Barrier Field health has been reduced to 1600 from 2000. In addition to this, his movement speed penalty has been reduced to 30 percent from 50 percent. Moira’s Biotic Grasp healing has been reduced from 4 to 3.25, and D.Va’s Defense Matrix cooldown has been reduced from 2 seconds to 1.5 seconds. This means that you will be able to use the Matrix more often now. Aside from them, other heroes have also received changes and improvements.

In any case, players will be surely glad to finally see the update on the live servers. They have been waiting for it to arrive since it was released on the PTR. The Overwatch League 2020 season is also going to start soon and fans all over the world are looking forward to it.
