Who Will Qualify For TI
At the time of this writing, only four teams have secured their invites for The International 2019. These four teams: Virtu.Pro, Vici Gaming, Team Secret and Evil Geniuses has ve been exceptional and currently rated to win the TI. Yet, eight TI spots still remain up for grabs. We will know the final standings of the DPC rankings after EPICENTER Major 2019.
EPICENTER will be the last DPC event of the 2018-2019 season and is bound to surprise us. After the competition, we will have the regional qualifiers of TI9. Where, only one team from each of the six regions will have the privilege to contest for the Aegis. We still don’t about the dates of these qualifiers. But it is safe to say that they will be around July 2019.
This year for the first time, the biggest eSports competition will take place in Shanghai, China at the Mercedes Benz Arena. The Chinese region is quite passionate about its DotA and it is evident from their recent performances. Since the Chinese team, Vici has secure TI9 invite. In 2018, PSG.LGD was the runner up of the TI8.
OG the Reigning Champions
Speaking of TI8, the reigning champions of the competition, OG still have 0 points as head into the final months of the season. The European side has recently recruited Anathan ‘Ana’ Pham to its ranks and will surely aim to change the situation. We are quite confident that OG can still qualify for TI through the Open Qualifiers. They might even qualify for it after the Paris Major and the EPICENTER. Since with OG anything is possible.

They won the TI8 after qualifying for the competition through the regional qualifiers. Since they had a poor performance in the 2017-2018 DPC. One the eve of the qualifiers the team lost one of its founding member, Fly. After losing Fly and S4 team recruited Ana and Topson. This team defied all the odds and emerged victorious after a flawless run in the Playoffs of the competition. We really can’t wait to see how will the final standings will shape up and who will qualifier for the ninth edition of TI.
