In less than 24 hours we will be witnessing one of the last competitions of the DPC. The OGA Dota Pit Minor 2019 is all set to take place. It will not only award teams with the much needed DPC points but the winner of the tournament will also get a slot for the next Major. There are so many talented teams that will be aiming to win the trophy. But only one will win it all, let’s have a look at some of the teams that could surprise us.
NA Team Winning A Minor?
We believe that this Minor will surely give us some incredible performances from the underdogs. Since each team is now fighting tooth and nail to secure qualification of The International. A team from North America might be the dark horse of the competition and that team is none other than Forward Gaming. We know that we have criticized the NA region for quite some time, but Forward has what it takes to silence the critics.
It’s official – we’re headed to Croatia! We take the series against @Team_JStorm 2-0 and secure our spot at the @OGADotaPIT minor! GGWP, J.Storm!

After the DreamLeague Season 11 Major, the team made some much-needed roster changes. This led to a series of decent results. Initially, the team competed for a slot in Paris Major. After displaying impressive results, they were eliminated by Team Team in the semifinals. This defeat triggered the team to win the qualifiers of the OGA Minor.
CCnC the right man
We will also be seeing Forward in the main event of ESL Birmingham. Since they qualified for the competition after beating Complexity Gaming. The addition of Quinn ‘CCnC’ Callahan has proved to be a profitable investment for the team. They might not be the favorites, yet we believe that the can win this Minor. We don’t see them finishing big in Paris, but don’t be surprised if you see them giving tough fights to their opponents.
CIS Dota beyond Virtus.pro
One of the most talented teams of the CIS is Gambit Esports. This season the team has displayed impressive results. Gambit secured the 2nd spot at the StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor, ESL One Katowice 2019 and The Bucharest Minor. It is great to see another CIS team, apart from VP, shining in the competitive landscape of Dota 2. We should not be surprised if the team manages to sneak into the top 12 DPC rankings.

In the two competitions where they finished at 2nd place, they were beaten by teams that have qualified to TI9: Team Secret and Vici Gaming. This just shows the quality of the team that is capable of reigning supreme at OGA Minor.
EHOME signs two TI winners
In the early days of DPC, EHOME was in a decent form. But they declined after losing Zhang ‘Faith_bian’ Ruida due to injury. Since then, the team has failed to emerge in the competitive circuit. In March, they have recruited a former TI champion Luo ‘Ferrari_430’ Feichi, in the hopes of qualifying for TI.

They also recruited another TI winner, Zhang ‘xiao8’ Ning but he will only play as a stand-in. It will be interesting to see how this team will perform in the OGA Minor.
